CUSTOM SERVICES – PRICING, BILLING & PRODUCTION TERMS
Custom Pricing Model
Because each project differs in material, geometry, performance requirements, and production complexity, FR 3D Printing & Design Services provides custom quotes rather than flat or standardized pricing.
Pricing reflects the actual scope of work and level of effort required to deliver reliable, production-ready parts.
All quotes are based on information available at the time of request and are subject to change if specifications, files, materials, quantities, or requirements are modified.
All quote prices are good for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
Submission of a quote request does not constitute acceptance of an order. Orders are accepted only upon written confirmation from the Company.
Factors Considered in Pricing
Project pricing may consider one or more of the following:
- Material type and usage
- Machine or print run time
- Part size, geometry, and complexity
- Quantity and production volume
- Required post-processing or finishing
- Design, revision, or validation work
- Setup, calibration, and production risk
The Company retains discretion to determine pricing methodology appropriate to the project.
3D Printing Services (FDM & SLA) – Production Pricing
For established designs with validated print profiles, pricing is typically quoted per unit based on:
- Material consumption
- Machine time
- Part complexity
- Quantity ordered
Per-unit pricing may apply once a design and production profile are finalized.
First-Run and Validation Prints
New designs or first-time production runs may require:
- Setup and calibration
- Print profile tuning
- Validation samples
- Fitment testing
Initial runs may include additional charges to account for these activities.
Once a design is validated for production, repeat orders will generally be priced using established production rates and current material costs.
The Company does not guarantee that first-run prototypes will meet final performance expectations without iterative refinement.
Design & Engineering Services
Design services are billed separately from production unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Design services may include:
- Original CAD development
- Redesign or modification of existing files
- Fitment adjustments
- Tolerance modifications
- Engineering revisions
Design time is billed at an hourly rate, which will be communicated prior to work commencing.
Design Revisions
Revisions requested after design approval, or revisions required due to incomplete, inaccurate, or updated reference information, are treated as billable changes.
If additional components, hardware, or dimensional requirements are identified after approval, the design may require revalidation. Such changes may affect pricing and lead times.
Client-Provided Information & Responsibility
Design accuracy depends on the completeness and accuracy of information provided by the client.
All designs and manufactured parts are based on:
- Client-supplied files
- Measurements
- Reference parts
- Specifications
The Company is not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate client information.
Laser Engraving & Marking Services
Laser services are priced based on:
- Setup and fixture requirements
- Engraving or marking time
- Design complexity
- Quantity
Minimum charges may apply to cover setup and preparation time.
Batch pricing may be available for multiple identical items.
Repeat Orders & Pricing Adjustments
Repeat orders are encouraged; however, pricing may be adjusted based on:
- Current material costs
- Machine availability
- Production scheduling
- Updated or proven production data
Pricing adjustments are part of standard manufacturing practice and do not constitute a breach of prior quotes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Lead Times & Rush Orders
Lead times begin only after:
- Design approval (if applicable)
- Final scope confirmation
- Pricing approval
- Required payment
Standard lead times vary depending on project scope.
Expedited or rush orders may incur additional charges.
Scope changes may impact delivery timelines.
Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Minimum Charges
Certain services may be subject to minimum charges to account for setup time, labor, and overhead. Minimum charges may apply even if material usage is low.
Payment Terms
The Company may require full or partial payment before production begins.
Invoices are due as stated on the invoice.
Failure to remit payment may result in suspension or cancellation of Services.
The Company reserves the right to charge reasonable late fees or collection costs where permitted by law.
Refunds and Production Defects
Because products are custom-manufactured, completed orders are generally non-refundable unless defective due to confirmed manufacturing error.
Claims must be submitted within fourteen (7) days of delivery and include reasonable documentation.
The Company’s sole obligation for confirmed manufacturing defects is, at its discretion:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund of the amount paid for the affected item

LEGAL PROTECTIONS
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FR3DPrinting and its affiliates from losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Site or Services;
- Customer Content submitted by you;
- Intellectual property infringement claims related to submitted materials;
- Violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration
Before initiating arbitration, the parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally. A written notice describing the nature of the dispute and the requested relief must be sent to the other party. If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days of receipt of notice, either party may proceed to arbitration.
Except as otherwise provided below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or the Services — whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory — shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”).
This arbitration agreement is intended to be broadly interpreted and shall survive termination of these Terms.
Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect at the time the claim is filed, unless the parties agree otherwise.
If AAA is unavailable, the parties shall mutually agree on an alternative arbitration provider applying comparable consumer arbitration rules.
The arbitration may be conducted:
- In the county where the consumer resides;
- In Contra Costa County, California; or
- Remotely (including by video or written submission), at the election of the consumer.
The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve all disputes relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this arbitration provision, including any claim that all or part of this provision is void or voidable.
If you are a consumer, the Company will pay any arbitration filing fees and arbitrator compensation required by the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules that exceed the filing fee you would pay in a California state court for a similar claim.
Each party shall bear its own attorneys’ fees unless otherwise provided by law or awarded by the arbitrator under applicable law.
This cost allocation is intended to ensure the arbitration provision is not unconscionable under California law.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek temporary, preliminary, or injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for claims relating to intellectual property infringement, unauthorized access, misuse of confidential information, or other claims where immediate equitable relief is necessary.
Class Action Waiver
All arbitration proceedings shall be conducted solely on an individual basis.
YOU AND FR3DPRINTING AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, REPRESENTATIVE, OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION.
The arbitrator may not consolidate the claims of multiple parties or preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.
If this class action waiver is found unenforceable, the class claim shall proceed in court, but the remainder of this arbitration provision shall remain enforceable.
If twenty-five (25) or more substantially similar claims are filed against the Company by the same or coordinated counsel, the parties agree that the arbitration provider shall administer the claims in staged proceedings designed to promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness, consistent with due process.
If any portion of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, except that if the class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim shall proceed in court and not in arbitration.
